  • A Simple Question (I hope!) on the Pearl Harbor attack fleet.

Most of my written resources state that just prior to launching the air attack the Japanese Fleet approached to within 220 miles North of Oahu, but I have not found, either in descriptive language or in accompanying maps and charts, whether the distance was in Statute Miles or Nautical Miles. Can anyone answer this (and kindly provide the references?)
Many thanks to my fellow amateur historians.

Unless specifically noted as nautical miles, the distance would be calculated in statute miles, the means by which time, distance, speed and fuel consumption are determined for aircraft.
