  • What do you think of the logo?

Is there anyone else who thinks the MHQ title page logo has outlived its usefulness? I really have grown to dislike that scribbled, pinheaded, leadfooted, slumping, miserable scribble of a (World War I?) soldier. Every time I open a new copy of the magazine, I find myself hoping the editorial staff has changed the symbol that introduces the issue, but I'm always disappointed. To me, it's so uninspiring a picture to stand for such a varied and fascinating publication. I'd be very interested to hear other opinions on this topic.

That's been a fixture of MHQ since the first issue, in Autumn 1988. What image would you suggest to convey the scope of military history from the dawn of time to the present?
