    Is there any record of Pickett either written or verbal dicussing his actions on that faithful afternoon of July 3rd??

    Pickett wrote an official report, allegedly on the back of an old letter. This, and some allegedly scathing criticisms of a handful of officers the report contained caused Lee to trash the report and to ask Pickett to rewrite it, which Pickett never did.

    I'm not aware of any writings Pickett himself did. Sallie Corbett (His later wife, but fiancee at the time) said that Pickett was very bitter towards Lee, but there are some who doubt her veracity.
