  • Hi

    What a great site!
I'm basically here to find info, stories, pictures etc... anyone cares to share about The Battle Of Savo Island, Aug. 9, 1942
My Father and Uncle were in the Navy and were both survivors of the USS Astoria CA-34.
I've been doing research on this since 1989 and although i do have all of my Father's military records, i haven't been able to find a whole lot online.
    Thanks
