          TRUE!

The search function is working again.

          THANK YOU!

P.S. You will note that there is very little contrast between the "normal", or unquoted, part of a post and the portion that is under quote tags.

The previous version of the forum provided a much greater contrast which made it much clearer to view and thus comprehend.

If this has not been pointed out thus far, could you see(pardon the pun) what you could do about this?

I am sure that many of us older members with slowly degrading eyesight would benefit from this.

          Thanks again.

I've notice that Today's Posts and User Settings seems to switch locations back and forth between the two.

This new forum software reminds me much of the German tanks in WW2. Overengineered and impractical.
Sorry, i had to say this. I will see myself out.

Has it dropped out like the older version... no it hasn't. Your point is mute.

I will attempt to put the preceeding few posts in an alternative, but what should be an easily understood, context being a new car that has just been placed on the market(probably because I have sold so many cars over the years there is some familiarity there for me).

                    It is the 21st century...Dur.

A new car is offered with a choice of 2 options.....

It can be reliable(as it should be in the 21st century - after all, we sent a man to the moon almost 50 years ago), but very plain.

Or, it can be stylish and well equipped but break down frequently.

The consumer is to be clearly advised that it is not possible to have both situations concurrently.

That car will not sell very well.

In this day and age, almost 50 years after the first manned moon landing, it is not unreasonable for a consumer to want both conditions to be fulfilled concurrently.

I visit a number of forums other than this one.

Many are able to achieve both conditions simultaneously.

It is something to think about.....but not too hard.

It is a no brainer, actually.

                    • I'm still getting notified of new "Subscribed" posts from a number of members even after clearing the subscriptions for those members' posts. Anyone else having this issue?

The subscribed posts are coming from what was previously your list of friends. Lord help those that befriended everyone. You are essentially "following" everyone that you have ever befriended in the old format.

I "unsubscribbed" about 2/3 of the list but I'm still getting notifications from several that are definitely not on subscribed list any longer.

Maybe it shares a setting with the ignore function that is not currently working.
