  • Wanted: Stavka VGK Directive No. 11098 Dated 29.05.45

    Gentlemen,

I am looking for Stavka Directive No. 11098, dated 29 May 1945.

It establishes the Soviet Southern Group of Forces, it's order of battle and which units are to be transferred to it and out of it in Bulgaria and Romania.

BTW: Directives 11095 to 11097 cover the Group of Soviet Occupation Forces in Germany (GSOFG), the Central Group of Forces (CGF) in Czechoslovakia, Austria and Hungary, and the Northern Group of Forces (NGF) in Poland, respectively.

The reason: Igor' Ivlev (soldat.ru) and I are putting together a MS-Excel file for both of our sites showing the fate of every Division that was in the RKKA at the end of the war in Europe. We are currently working on the Rifle Divisions and will move on to the Guards Rifle Divisions.

    I hope someone can help.

    Regards,

    Craig

    Check out AMVAS's site, http://rkkaww2.armchairgeneral.com/

You can get to it, as well, from the bottom of the first page of the boards.

      Iron Mike,

I did not see a "Documents" section on either of AMVAS sites.

Do you have a link to the document?

      Thanks.

I wasn't refering to a specific document. AMVAS's site is a great resource for Russia in WWII. If you can't find it there, contact AMVAS directly, here on ACG. He may be able to help you find it.

            Iron Mike,

I know. His is a good site also. But because he has so much stuff to translate, he has very little time to do anything.

It's like trying to translate "Perechin No. 4: Rifle, Mountain and Motorized Divisions inclusing inthe Active Army of teh Great Patriotic War 1941-1945." It has every unit assigned to a Division that was in the GPW int he Active Army (in a combat zone). Were talking about 800 Divisions with about 15 units each.

            I'll try "Battlefield.ru" site also.

                AMVAS,

Thanks. Shingo on the battlefield.ru forum posted a link to his site. It looks like he scanned it.

                Thanks anyhow.
