  • WWII Russian Armour list wanted

    Greetings Folks

for various reasons I'm trying to compile a list of the armour types created/ used and/or available to Russian prior to and into the conflict.

the KV (and IS) series and the T's are understandable but what I'm looking for are the models they started the conflict with ('39-40)...
anu help with names ( And images ) would be great

Think of it as a challenge for the AFV Whiz kids out there.

Check out AMVAS's site. That's what it's for.

The RKKA tank park in 1939-40 consisted mainly of different versions of the T-26 and BTs. The medium tank of the period was the T-28 and the heavy tank was the T-35. The light amphibious tanks T-37 and T-38 were also entering service. The first T-34s and KV prototypes came in 1940. Also important were the armoured cars: the BA-20 and mainly BA-6s, with the BA-10 just entering service.
