Great site! New to me, thanks Alex!

Here are some I though were original (not the usual arms and armor stuff):

      Hand-to-hand combat w/ bayonet tournament!

      Landing strip clearing.

Distilling drinking water @ the front.

Priest speaks in front of a partisan detachment. (Pictures like this were rare since the resurgent role of the church was suppressed after the war).

Morning routine at a partisan camp.

      "Listening" device and crew.

      Front-line finishing. (sharp hair, guys!)

Marines count an Iron Cross recepient among the captured.

      Black sea fleet morning warm-ups.

Comrades in arms...before Katyn threads on the internet.

      Checkin' out the Willy.

The caption is just "Tanks firing" the comments on the bottom are snips of radio broadcasts on the War progress from Sept. 1942.

                      Thanks buddy!!

I'll try to find one that has more writing in it!!

How about........(let me look then edit here)

                      Cheers

                      Tom

Maybe these will be "better", more writing at least........

Page 4 again, top right, covered tank looks to be a t-34 in 1942, quite rare then if so!!

Page 6, 4th one down on the left, all those "hits" on the sid turret of the KV-?

                      Thanks big time buddy!!

Yeap that does look like a T-34, but the caption just says "Commander of the 122nd Tank Brigade Lt. Colonel M.M. Rydoi, (left) and tank commander I.V. Vlaskin"

The other picture talks about the two men, examining a KO'd Tiger (not KV!) at Kursk, one of the men being responsible for it, and it gives the men's names and such. It also says that the Tiger was knocked out by the regular 76mm tank gun but doesn't say which tank.
