          Seems that way.
On 11 April 2008 the Russian newspaper Moskovsky Korrespondent reported that Vladimir Putin and his wife Lyudmila had been divorced for some time. According to the tabloid, Putin plans to marry the 24-year old former Olympic gymnast Alina Kabaeva in June. The information allegedly came from a "close friend" of the head of a wedding company. Kabayeva's spokeswoman refused to discuss "this nonsense"[233]. As Putin was abroad at the time, and the Kremlin declined to comment, the rumour spread into serious newspapers and television broadcasts all over the world, until on 18 April 2008 Putin himself denied the entire story at a press conference with Silvio Berlusconi, saying: "There is not a single word of truth" to the report". "I have always had a negative opinion of those who, with their snotty noses and their erotic fantasies, meddle in other people's lives," he added. [234][235]

Apparently at the joint interview with Berlusconi, when the Russian journalist asked the question about Putin's love life, Berlusconi seemed to threaten to have the journalist killed. Presumably B was just being hospitable to his guest....

Yellow journalism is a pejorative reference to journalism that features scandal-mongering, sensationalism, or other unethical or unprofessional practices by news media organizations or journalists. It has been loosely defined as "not quite libel".
