    I'm not sure what it is but it looks like German photos from private German hands have found their way to the web. There are at least 1600 photos in this slideshow. The German soldiers, coming from a fairly wealthy country, carried many personal Leica cameras in their pockets. Back then such a camera was considered quite a luxure. The slideshow shows enormous devastation.

    It's pretty sweet when stuff like this pops up, I just looked at the first couple pages, I will check them all out when I have more time on a day off on Tuesday!!

        I know what you mean Emil when I see

        pics of the U.S. for D-day landings and the landings in Pacific islands. I'm not referring to the "brutal" part, when I say sweet, unseen pics are something I am always looking for, just so you know.
