    A recent issue of "WWII Quarterly", Fall 2019, also had an article on Soviet female snipers. Not finding it at their website, but still an interesting source;

    Rather than start a separate thread (though it may have merit to do so for the attention draw), here's another item on the internet that has popped up recently;
    Lady Death: Lyudmila Pavlichenko, the Greatest Female Sniper of All Time

    With 309 confirmed kills, she became a heroic figure to the Soviets—but the American media didn't know what to make of her.

    Playing the thread necromancer here a little bit. I have a new acquaintance who made the most awesome video about a female Russian sniper named Roza Shanina. Check it out:

    http://www.rozashanina.com/

    I may do a write-up of female Russian snipers the way I did pilots if I can find time.

    I'm not sure, I'm really bad at judging time zones because I come from one of the few places on Earth that doesn't do Daylight Savings Time(Arizona).

    Errrr.....I get this message:

    Access Denied by ArjLover
    Скачивание файлов Вам разрешено с 4 часов ночи до 10 часов утра по московскому времени.

    Доступ закрыт. Это НЕ блокировка (не бан). Вы можете просматривать любые страницы на сервере, но не можете скачивать файлы. В данное время доступ на скачивание файлов разрешен только из сетей, которые мой провайдер считает "российскими". Ваш IP адрес (83.176.36.18), не входит в список "российских" сетей моего провайдера. Маршрут трафика от этого сервера до Вашего компьютера можно посмотреть по этой ссылке. Если Вы находитесь в России, то не воспринимайте слово "российские" в буквальном, географическом смысле, определение "российские сети" используется для обозначения большинства сетей, вопрос же в том, как провайдеры соединяются друг с другом. К сожалению в последнее время все больше российских провайдеров любят подключаться напрямую к зарубежным магистральным провайдерам. В свою очередь мне отдавать деньги этим зарубежным провайдерам за трафик серверов который ушел к ним тоже не хочется, поэтому имеем такую грустную картину. Писать лично мне с просьбами поправить список сетей или что-то сделать - бесполезно. Все списки строятся автоматически. Читайте Об архиве & FAQ. Так же можете почитать все уже написанное и пообщаться на эту тему в форуме.

    Damn I should have read that. Actually this is the lesser of two major mistakes I made recently. I accidentily referred to Beevor and Max Hastings as "historians".
