      загр. Отряд - Blocking detachment

      огнем. Рота - Flamethrower company

зап. Сп - reserve rifle regiment

уч.зап.полк - Training Reserve [Rifle] Regiment

гауб.ар - Howitzer Artillery [some unit or group]

Nope, just Howitzer artillery. THe unit type(s) depends on the context. It can be some unit, or tactic group of units, or pieces of unit

Among ten AP - artilleriiskaya razvedka . Artillery abbreviations (adjective, noun) are apt.

If it was alone "ар" abbreviation, it really could be artillery recon (and also Army recon).
but together with "гаубичная ар." it means "Howitzer artillery"

                  Hello again,

here is another term I can not translate on my own:
                  звукоулавливающая станция ЗТ-5.

                  Thanks in advance

                  Michel

Probably the best translation would be a communications receiver ZT-5.
Something along the lines of the British R1155.

                        Alex, I have here:
Звукоулавливающая станция считается функциональным аналогом британской звукоулавливающей цепи «Плесси»..

The Plessy was a radio communications receiver.

                        • Alex, if the photograph you posted is indeed a Звукоулавливающая станция, then I believe the proper translation would be an acoustic locator.

                          Swedish acoustic locator

                          French acoustic locator

Maybe only some similar functions, but not principle.
ZT-5 was used for locating of approaching airplanes

Then it is an acoustic locator. They were made redundant by radar.

                              • Thanks again guys.

It is a compounded word and I find those confusing to translate, but yes, you are right it is an acoustic locator for aircraft. The article I found it in was about the air defenses of Moscow in 1941. In those days everyone used them, radar or not.
