    The tank doesn't crush German graves. The tank is placed nearly German graves for more effect of a photo. it is a symbol - theGermans are crushed and here is their captured equipment.

    In fact ,Red Star is still used as a symbol of Russia Army.

    Even more interesting, would be what is the meaning of the five-pointed American star on the right front glacis plate of this Tiger tank?
    How can it be an American star is there is a cyrillic "ЛЗЩ" marking on the hull?? It's clear this Tiger was captured by the Red Army.

    I asked about a Red Star symbol and about other symbols of Russian militaries one my work's colleague who is former captain of Russian Army (a tankman, a company commander) and who left Army 3 years ago. He confirmed all what I wrote...

    It is your problems - . To the point, a red star is on the top of Kremlin's Towers. A red star is placed on Russian Happy New Year Trees. The official Russian military newspaper is called "Red Star" like it was in the time of USSR. And so on. We don't suppose that it is related to Communism.

    For the Russians Red Star is not the symbol of Communism. And star commonly is symbol of Russian troops, not only red one. Red stars are on Russian planes and helicopters, it is military symbol and I didn't hear about another famous symbol that can replace it.

    It would be interesting to see a meeting of Russian-Hungarian soldiers
    And how do you suppose view of modern Russian soldiers? It's not the same like in Western movies about James Bond.

    Russian soldiers have no red stars on caps or helmets. The Russian field military caps contain green stars. Officers' service caps contain golden stars.

    Modern Russian combat planes have red star symbols.

    And Russian units have red banners like it was in the time of USSR.

    Red stars and red banners are considered not symbols of Communism but the symbols of combat glory of the units who fought bravely for the Motherland and not for Communism.

    Also the Russian soldiers and officers have a white-blue-red (small modern Russian national flag) chevron on the left hand. Sometimes they paint this Russian national flag on tanks, trucks and so on. Sometimes they use Russian national flag as a combat banner.

    "ЛЗЩ"

    Л=L
    З=Z
    Щ=Нmmm.... Щ=shch or sch

    It is only a set of letters here, they can mean everything.

    It can be first letters of a name.

    For Example, "Lev Zakharovich Shchukin" and so on.
