  • American military wet weather gear

Hey all, just wondering if someone could direct me to a site or some infomation regarding the types and models of rain jackets and wet weather gear that the American military forces have used since WW1.
I have been handed recently a wet weather cape of sorts, it has no markings on it but it originally came from someone in the US military. It is long and brown and is sleevless but has slashes where arms can go through. It has a high collar and a sewn in hood of sorts, also has two long straps running from the collar down and I suppose that it goes over the shoulders and ties around behind the back. It also has a long button up split in the back of the garment.

I will upload some pics of it later.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to sell it for a friend but have no idea of what sort of price to ask. It is in excellent condition.

    Cheers all

Any metaphor will tear if stretched over too much reality.
