  • Medieval (late 13th century) questions

I am researching the life of a knight circa 1280 England. I could use some experts to bounce some questions off. I have a ton of research material but many times I come across a fact that brings a specific question to mind. If anyone would be willing to assist please drop me an email.

    [email protected]

    An example:
I have read much about jousting tournaments and the reference to full plate armour during the joust. My question is "what did the Knights of 1280 wear since full plate armour didnt become common until much later"?

I know they usd chain mail for battle and only assume this was the same for tournaments but didnt this cause many more injuries?

Thanks for any and all help
