  • Can something demilled be remilled?

I've always been curious about this question. Firearms become demilled to become props or showpieces, tanks can become museum pieces but still be operable/driveable. If something like a national emergency occurs, wouldn't it be feasible to reactivate and use them again if things get extremely hairy?

Change the barrels or sleave them.
Not lip service, nor obsequious homage to superiors, nor servile observance of forms and customs...the Australian army is proof that individualism is the best and not the worst foundation upon which to build up collective discipline - General Monash

Currently there are quite a few builders out there that take demilled receivers and patch them, whilst converting the weapon to an ATF approved semi configuration. That in essence would be "remilling".
Welcome to the adult world. Kinda sucks when you have to be the responsible ones and take all the pot shots from the chagrined lefties and mongoloid celebrities, who don't know their collective posteriors from sound economic policy. - 98ZJUSMC
