The followers of the death vults are busy killing each other. The Middle Eastis one wrecked economy after another in the wake of the 'arab spring' turning into a nuclear winter.

Time to gear back up for issues with China or Russia.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

Our oil comes from the Middle East, not China or Russia. Don't hold your breath.

        Man, where is the Doctor?

US domestic production is climbing despite the tree huggers. We could easily meet our own needs.

Your opinion is very out of date.

The Doctor can't help you. He never could.

No, we can't, because there is more profit to be made selling our oil abroad than domestically, and as long as that is the case, we will never "meet our own needs", particularly since we haven't built a new refinery in America in the last forty or so years. At least, that is the pro forma excuse by Big Oil for high prices - "lack of refinery capability".

Hard to imagine an industry that hasn't grown in the last four decades to match the growth of the driving population . All of the rest have.

So is your information. Venezuela closed most of its stations here and its oil industry isn't doing well. Neither is Mexico's. Meanwhile, we're deploying whole fleets to protect the Gulf of Hormuz, not the Gulf of Mexico or the Pacific offshore of Mexico or Venezuela. Most of our none-Gulf oil is for political expediency, trying to prop up failing nations.

We could entirely stop the Mexican cartel drug trade if we deployed a fraction of the assets to the Gulf of Mexico that we send to the ME.

BTW - if we;re buying so much cheap oil, where is it going? It isn't showing up at the pumps.

The pie charts shows that opposed to what you had claimed we DO NOT get most of our oil from the Middle East. End of story. You were mistaken.
