  • WWII blankets?

What would be some good guidelines for getting an appropriate WWII blanket? I'm not looking for 100% authenticity at this moment, just something that'll do the job and gives off a faily accurate impression for now.

I'm thinking of getting a surplus Czech military wool blanket, much like this. That or possibly Italian. Will this do for now?

    Who do you reenact?

It looks like it could pass as a US Issue and I would guess enough Geramns got thier hands on them as well.

Yes I am, but right now I'm rather short on time and money to be purchasing reproductions. I just need something to do for at least this week.

As a resistance fighter you have your choice of a captured blanket or a civilian one. That Czech blanket looks just fine.

My 13th jump was on the 13th day of the month, aircraft number 013.
As recorded on my DA Form 1307 Individual Jump Log.
