  • Even though I don't yet have the time...

I just purchased the Stryker kit by AFV Club. I will start it after I finish the Warrior I'm building now. My plan is to scratchbuild the RPG slat armor.

    NEED...MORE...TIME...

That slat armour will be time consuming...good luck.
The truth? You can't handle the truth! No truth handler you! I deride your truth handling abilities!

It shouldn't be too tough, just use Evergreen strips.
If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.

Talking with the guys who actually use them, they like them. They aren't Bradleys, as they are much more lightly armored AND armed, but for a battlefield taxi, it seems to be working pretty well.

Many of the soldiers like that they can have that back hatch open and see where they are going and what they are doing and help engage if they are attacked enroute.

There are others who hate the Stryker...in fact, there's an entire community dedicated to the fight AGAINST the Stryker, though it seems it's all for naught, as the Stryker has been battle-proven and will likely be in our inventory for many years to come.

Hope this helps in your quest for knowledge, my friend!

That's my plan. I have a huge collection of pics of the armor. I finally get a chance to but my modeling scale to good use!

True, but it wouldn't be right without it.
