    I decided to create this thread in the modeling forum instead of the museum forum.

    Thanks! It would make sense that they'd have miniatures. The Boeing museum in Seattle has a great collection of miniatures.
    If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.

      When I was last there in 1999, they had models on display. I remarked that most weren't very good and that they were mainly early Tamiya or ESCI kits, with only one or two being good scratchbuilt types.

      ‘Tis said his form is tiny, yet
      All human ills he can subdue,
      Or with a bauble or medal
      Can win mans heart for you;
      And many a blessing know to stew
      To make a megloamaniac bright;
      Give honour to the dainty Corse,
      The Pixie is a little shite.

        I really, really , really want to visit this tank museum. It is on my bucket list now. Looks like it's gotten much better since 1999.

            Even on the pics posted , you can see that this is the standard of quality of the 80's.
            No comparison possible with today's level of exigency.

              They had model kits at Bovvy way back in the seventies, the ones in the piccys are that crap, maybe they're the same ones!?
              I'm a tad surprised as the Museum hosts a wargame/military modelling show every year, so you'd think the standard of the models, would have gone up a notch?

              The long toll of the brave
              Is not lost in darkness
              Over the fruitful earth
              And athwart the seas
              Hath passed the light of noble deeds
              Unquenchable forever.

                Worth a visit and also try and get to the French one in Samur as well if you can

                If you should ever find yourself in Cairo take a break from the Pyramids and Tutankhamen's treasures at the museum and visit the Cairo Citadel which has some unusual tanks and artillery
