          Thank you Seb.

I always buy ready primed canvas and when painting on wooden board i prime with gesso. sometimes i prime first with rabbit skin glue then gesso.

            Ok !
I personally use a mix of marble powder and acrylic paint ,in order to create a pasta quite thick enough for sculpting it .

Ok, and you do that so you can fill all textures in canvas and get a flat surface?

First rough sketch for new painting.
Churchill and brittish troops advancing in the city of Kleve.

What do you think, change anything?
Is the german soldier to close or just to visible?

Very interesting , but personnaly , i will erase the German.

You have a very good composition and the Kraut comes here and adds nothing except a big spot in the field of vision. It gives a "video games screen capture " aspect to your work.
If you erase it ,then you have a description of a routine patrol in a dangerous environnement , and that sums it up .We know that the death could be very close , no need ,according to me ,for highlightning it
Excellent work .I can't wait for the next step!

What did you use for the sketch?Photoshop,Illustrator , sketchpro ?

Thank you Seb, I use photoshop with a wacom board to sketch this one, also did a very small thumbnail with pencil and paper to start with.

I thought it might look a bit weird with the german soldier. Will see how it looks without him.

Also felt it look abit too similar to the PzIV painting in composition, thats why i added him.
