Just got back from the Model show my model club put on today. It went well!

I won two awards (only entered in two categories).

Rommel came in 3rd and my YF-12 came in 2nd.

Will post pics of the show, my models and the new loot I picked up tomorrow.

In the IPMS rules, once a model wins in a regional show it can only then be shown for judging at the nationals. Today's show was a regional show so the two models that won today now have to be retired from shows. (I don't have plans to go to the national show anytime in the near future)

So Erwin Rommel is now put out to pasture...

I think today's award brings his total to 9 awards.

The YF-12 won it's third award today..

and soon will be packed up and shipped out to be displayed at the USS Lexington Museum.

I did win one raffle prize...

and then picked up two more models...

first is a fictional aircraft.... the Shinden II

the second is a 1/72 scale shuttle and booster tanks...

to say it will be a large model is an understatement. Here I am holding the main fuel tank...

        and here a fuselage half...

But should look neat ready for launch....

The standouts for me are the Werewolf of London and Mr. Hyde faces. Outstanding!!!! I dug the Iranian Tomcat Nice.

Nice to see Rommel win another one!!

Well done Warren! Your Rommel has now officially won more awards than the Actual Field Marshall did.

Well done Warren! I like the marks on the tomcats wings where moves. I also like the tank busting stuka.
