You can probably find it at 888paintball.com, sometimes wal-mart, or larger sports stores like Sports Authority and Academy Sports. I would suggest buying it off the internet though because it is cheaper. Other sites you might check are paintball-online.com, pbfanatic.com, and countypaintball.com. Check to see who has it for the cheapest price. Can't go wrong with it. It should cost between $130-$200 depending on if you get anything with it. good luck.

I know that the Wal-Marts in Maine carry the 98. Only about 150 or so with a mask, tank and hopper included with it.

I haven't seen a NY Wal-Mart that has Tippmanns but thats just New York. But I will say...don't go with included Masks, they are never very good. I buy my masks seperate. I will also recommend buying a beeter barrel than the one the 98 custom comes with. The default one is good but you can buy better ones. I have a Samrt Parts Tear drop and it's great, not too exspensive either!

I remember when Spyders first came out. Boy did they suck. Kinda biased me from early on. Maybe they have changed but I still wouldn't trust one...

Yes, well Ion't like them too much either and yeah I'd be careful with the Spyders. They are better than Brass Eagle but not Tippmann I would say. But I heard (through my friend) that the Aggressor hasn't given him any problems, so in my last post I was probably really stating his opinion not mine. Because I would never get a Spyder, but they do seem to have gotten better!

Thanks for the Pictures, this will help me decide which one I'm looking at. Right now I would have to say the Tippman 98 custom, looks more simple to operate, (I've never used one before though).

                        Thanks Again

Yeah, your right on there. It's very simple. Easy to take apart and easy to upgrade, it is incredibly simple!

The 98 Custom and Model 98 are certainly easy guns to operate, but also are the spyders and spyder clones out there. The one disadvantage the 98 has is that you cannot field trip it easily. Of course, I have yet to have a need to, but some people like that option just in case they need to clean out the internals or something. If you go with a spyder style option, which will be easier to find, the Syder Xtra is pretty good, and reasonably priced wal-mart. Spyders are easily up graded as well, there is a huge aftermarket for spyders with all sorts of expansion chambers, bolts, low pressure chambers and e-grips available. It is really an issue of preference. Most mil-sim guys like the Tippmanns it seems like, or either a nice pump gun. Anyway, if you find a marker at your local sports store or wal-mart and are not sure about it, check out www.pbreview.com and read the reviews people have posted for that particular gun. You can usually get a good idea of just how good that gun is. Do your research, it can save you a bundle in the end.
