    I finally got to Riga Airport Museum on a sunny day and got some pictures taken. They have a lot of former Soviet aviation there as well as many other artifacts. There are some interesting exhibits, particularly the Hind A model, the only one i have seen. They also have a TU 22M Backfire bomber but you can't get close to it unfortunately. They have a Mil Mi 6 Hook helicopter that is so big it has its own museum inside. My favourite is the Mig 25 Foxbat. It is quite humbling standing next to it! Some of the exhibits are in quite poor condtion, particularly the Mig 29, but still worth a visit.

    The pictures can be seen in the Museum Gallery HERE

    Thanks to Doc S for putting them up for me!!

    It must be really strange for a country to have alot more capable aircraft stacked up in a museum than in actual service in the air force.

    Current Latvian Air force:
    * 3 Mi-2s
    * 4 Mi-8s
    * 1 L-410UVP Turbolet
