  • Taylorís Worldwide Arms Museum

Interesting private arms museum in Vietnam.

A British man who has made Viet Nam his home has an amazing collection of old army guns and models of soldiers. They are all inside a museum he has made in an old French building, in Vũng Tŗu City. Robert Taylor has been collecting these things for a long time and has always loved history. Visitors from overseas say the museum is as good as other top museums in the world.

Located on Trần Hưng Đạo Street in Precinct 1, the museum features about 2,500 artefacts Ė the culmination of 70-year-old Robert Taylorís 52 years of collecting arms from around the world as a hobby.
By many accounts, the ownerís passion for arms is impressive. His collection includes precious artefacts of all kinds, including military weapons and costumes from West to East, both medieval and modern, like the sophisticated African guns made in 1820-1850 or 19th century swords from Việt Namís Mường ethnic minority.
