I just need to add this to my signature... "It's on the list..." though it won't be next Tuesday.
If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.

          Hey Sarge,

Its good to hear from you. Keep safe in the desert. Tell me about this book, I'm not familiar with it.

              Thanks,guys.

The plot was mentioned on here a while back regarding a magazine article discussing the possible invasion by Imperial Germany of the U.S. The book 1901 has this happen. Seems the Kaiser feels that America is too immature to have colonies (Puerto Rico,Phillipines, etc) and they should be given-I stress give freely- to a real empire such as Germany. To this end,Germany lands an amphibious invasion and holds New York City and the surrounding area for ransom. Kaiser Wilhelm, not realizing that Americans dont fight wars in this manner is soon subjected to Guerilla war,Naval battles from a navy he dosent think the Americans should have and more.

              Worth looking for.

And what Great Britain and France do at the same moment ? It is difficult to think that they let Germany do that without reaction.

Sounds pretty interesting. I have a question though: was is New York City always the center of so many alternate histories or movies? Its not even a primary nuclear target today. Any invader would do a lot better taking over a much better port.

Ok, I remember now. I read the magazine article, I think in "Military History". According to the article it was much closer to actually happening that we might suspect today.
