    Good question.
Poland this time, as You said could easily won the war, but to force political solutions, we needed Allies. Is why Pilsudski asked France and UK.
Ocupation of Germany, will allow to disarm paramilitary organisation, and force Germans to honor all Versailes treaty rules.
    - Your Highness, the enemy is so numerous... they outnumber your army.
    - My friend, first I beat 'em then I'll count 'em
(Polish King Jan III Sobieski during his campaigns)

You have Berlin, you have Hitler and can start taking the NAZI war machine apart. Tank by tank. You have exposed the start of the Holocaust. Hitler never has a chance to regain power, the cities of Europe are not destroyed and millions do not die. Britian retains the Empire for a short period and the US takes longer to become the power that it is.

Which surprised me that the French were at it this early.

Plenty of car makers but none were full production lines until Olds in 1901 (according to your link) or 1902 (my info). I think that's a wrap.

In 1933 Pilsudski was military dictator whilst Hitler had only just become Chancellor. Hitler may have been seen as a little strange by some people in Britain and France but he represented no threat, indeed he was not expected to last in the post of Chancellor (most of his predecessors had managed but months). There was no prospect of support for Pilsudski's idea in 1933.

            • THe Poles seem to have a clearer idea of what Hitler was all about then anyone else.

With less than half a million men under arms, they would have been able to overwhelm a 100,000-man German Army with no airforce and about a dozen tanks. They could have gone as far as Berlin and occupied it, and Sliesia and Prussia as well...

That is where things get difficult. The Nazi's would have left Berlin before the mostly foot-bound Poles could have closed in. Have you looked at the map, Half-pint? THere is a LOT of Germany west of Berlin. A lot of guns from the first war were buried in German backyards, waiting for just such an event, and a lot of veterans. Older men, but they knew what to do.
Also, the factories were mostly over in the Ruhr, near Holland.

As weak as the German fleet was then, they could have blockaded Poland with ease, and that would have oppened up a whole new can of worms. The RN was always a bit bashful about entering the Baltic, and who can blame them, with the Denmark straits being what they are?

                • If the Air Ministry had given Sir Frank Whittle the go-ahead to build his supersonic jet fighter by 1938, what then?
Hitler played Golf. His bunker shot was a hole in one.

                    • I don't think Mexico could have pulled off taking Texas and the Southern states. It would have diverted our attention and recourses however. Even if they did take it, they would never have been able to keep it for long. The People and the military would have risen up and most likely taken Northern Mexico as "Pay Back". Can you imagine the reaction of the people if it had happen? Would their have been interment camps for Hispanics?? What a mess that would have been.
I understand the Japanese did have some destroyers patrolling down in Mexican waters during the war. That caused many to worry.

Mexico was an Ally during the war and provided at least on Sqd of P51 to the ETO.

I have never heard of Japanese surface units working off the Mexican coast and can think of little reason why they would.
