  • Hypothetical: If Brexit somehow would lead to a war with France

And i guess if other nations would not interfere, if no nukes would be used (the usual rules) would the war go anything resembling the video below? It seems to assume the channel basically prevents much of the land ops. And UK has little to no Air defenses??

Its been a good few years since the UK government has tried to balance the books by looting and pillaging France.

Seriously, it only worked the last time because we had the longbow and were prepared to slaughter folk in heaps.

The I remember there was a scenario in the old Harpoon 2 game about a naval war between Britain and the EU. Was released back in 1994.

France would be hampered by having to keep a close eye on Germany.

Although I really can't see the grounds for a war between France and the UK.

Who attacks first? Both are NATO country's. Germany has no interest in France.

Even for AH this one is built on a non foundation.

Would the Scots pass up the opportunity to go after the garlic-eaters one more time?

Scotland used to have an alliance with the French that that in the event of England invading France, Scotland would attack England and vice versa. It's been responsible for some of their greatest military calamities.

So, if we stick to the historical model. Scotland will burn Hexham and then get duffed up somewhere near Carlisle by the Homeguard.

The question is, how much money will the US and Russia make selling arms to both sides?

Are they even able to conduct significant military operations outside of NATO's infrastructure?

Since they're both in NATO, Britain more so than France, which side does Germany and the US take...?

That's easy. The US would support Britain because we have the "special relationship". The Germans have a slightly different "special relationship" with France, as evidenced by events of 1870, 1914 and 1939.
