I return from Britain on Jul 3rd so the weekend of the 6th-7th should see us up and running.

I have received the Russian, Turk and Austria set ups but need the Prussian, French, Spanish and British.

In the emantime I suggest you all get active with your diplomacy and iron out deals, alliances, and all the rest. Fritgern has offered to take Spain but I am not around to help walk him through the basics. If you gents would be kind enough to help him out while I'm gone that would good. I will do what I can when I am near email resources.

Since 6 or 7 players are now familiar with the game I think we should be able to move along pretty well once we get going.

      I'm back July 4th

Concentrate your army somewhere that you can get to it easily and divide your navy into approximately equal numbers. Once the French announce where their fleets are, set yours to blockade them and wait for developments.

Maybe Brits don`t want to blockade our ports this time and will wait in the sea for French ships

P.S. Guys let`s wrote here some game tips for new member that we figured out in first game when we all had a lot of questions to Purist.

From me - first of all read carefully rules about establishing supply line, especially as Spain is more or less naval power. Also seizing territories of minor countries - after taking a capital one Corps must stay in this province for 1 month to finish conquest then it`s possible to do whatever you want there (establish depot for supply line, free country to get better income but in this case this country will start to develop their own troops automatically)

Always keep an eye on the victory points, you need to be gaining them every month because each month you are doing nothing means you need to gain more in the corresponding months. Pick your wars, you need to identify which countries can hurt your victory points a lot and those who will hurt you minimally.

Realise if you side with France you will lose trade and risk blockade, if you side with Britain you risk a land war.

Neutral is often better but harder to maintain if you as Spain are drawn as a defender of a minor country, this means you get drawn into a war whether you want to or not.

              Study the combat charts carefully.

Ask questions, The Purist is an excellent game moderator and he will help you if you ask the right questions.

Can we get a list of confirmed players and their roles ?

There have been shifts I believe, it would help with diplomacy, in particular do we have Spain and Austria players ?

Yes Snowy I have abandoned the halls of Whitehall for the mountains of Austria.

Del (old Spain) has moved to Britain and I believe we have a new player for Spain.

Ulrih is still France Exorcist has left the Game.

Craven is in Prussia and Tsar is Russia.

Yes, Exo is currently out but when game will be restarted we`ll see what he will decide, maybe he will still be Minister of Foreign affairs of France.

And Frtigern took over Spain so we have all 7 players.

                      just popped in

Been hiking the Bratton Downs and areas in NW Wiltshire all day so haven't had time to log in. Fritgern and DR should read through the old orders thread to get a feel for the flow of the game. They can post questions here for myself or others to answer as available.

Tempting, but I don't think so. The pacing of the game was really getting on my nerves and it was just a matter of time before I said something dumb.
Now that its summer I'll be away for days at a time, and those days are sure to fall when Purist wants an answer right away.

                              1804? that's like yesterday.

I don't know about you but I'm poking around Colchester's Roman walls and some earth layers with terra-cotta tiles and an ash layer dating back to about 60 AD. Monday and Tuesday I was out by Sutton Hoo poking about late Roman and early Anglo-Saxon artifacts.

                              I'm in heaven.
