  • An unwelcome guest in my hometown (Poland)

September 15, 1939. My hometown has a "distinguished" visitor. Nice! And behind him that's San river where I used to swim.

I believe that came with the invasion of the Soviet Union. Hubert Essling describes the Hitler Lair as being , even after the war "rotten with the smell of fusty half cured concrete."
At that time, Der Fuhrer was mostly operating out of hsi Train, AMERICKA>

No, because this is September 1939.Wolfsschanze begins in December 1940 according to Wikipedia (1 year later) According to Wikipedia, Hitler had a total of 14 headquarters built for him. As the front moved closer to Moscow, Hitler's bunkers also moved east to be closer to the troops. Hitler had tremendous energy and was always traveling to the front to talk to the troops. Completely different personality from Stalin. Stalin was a notorious coward who avoided his own men, probably out of fear of assassination. The closest Red Army servicemen ever got to Stalin would be like the Red Square parades. During the parades Stalin was protected by a security perimeter and most of his body was covered by a wall so you could only see his head and shoulders. Nobody was allowed to approach the podium.
