    IIRC they did quite well at Kursk, for example, breaking deep into Soviet defenses, in some cases ending up breaking through on their own because other arms could not follow. As others have stated, in that case they could not hold ground, but breaking deeply into Soviet defenses, they could.
    IIRC Tigers also did a good job at removing any resistance during the initial phases of German offensive in Tunesia in February at Faid Pass and Sidi-bou-Zid.

      Regarding the Tigers in Tunesia, let's not forget the legendary Tiger 131 that managed to break deeper into enemy territory than any other tank, and still to this day guards the ground its taken.
