  • Battle of Chosin Reservoir

I stumbled upon this great excerpt from "War Stories of the Infantry" recounting one USMC Private's experiences during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir.

It got me thinking: If you were to speak to a class of youngsters today, and you only had time to tell them about one USMC battle/campaign that best represents the Corps' legacy, which would it be?

    Thoughts?

That would be as good as any. Of course it depends on the story told. There were thousands of participants, each with his own PoV.

Another point is the nature of the USMC then was very different than during the 19th Century, or during the Bananna Wars of the 1910-1935 period.
