      Found this very interesting,I personally never ever saw an ambulance unit despite being a stretcher bearer. I treated men on the spot with the meager first aid kit. Then carried them living or dead, with the help of at times a somewhat reluctant volunteer back to our M.O. Ever carried one of those WW2 stretchers? Not funny!!
