  • "Peiper's War" Danny Parker's new book.

Danny Parker is publishing a new book on Joachim Peiper that focuses primarily on his combat history. It is called "Peiper's War," and it's from Frontline Books. It doesn't seem to be listed yet on Amazon.com, however it is listed on Amazon.co.uk...

Well, it would, wouldn't it? otherwise he'd have had to call it...

'Peiper: the story of an Unrepentant Murdering Scumbag.'

The long toll of the brave
    Is not lost in darkness
    Over the fruitful earth
    And athwart the seas
Hath passed the light of noble deeds
    Unquenchable forever.

Parker's other two books are about the massacres in the Ardennes.

A major blind spot in"Hitler's Warrior" was the lack of information about Peiper's combat commands besides the Ardennes.

Of note a few months ago I bought the Jochen Peiper book by Agte and it was from the I SS Panzer Korps' pro-veterans pov and had extensive coverage of his life, his crimes, and his commands.

It would be interesting to see if Parker's new volume disputes the claims of his commands like his other volumes certainly disputed the pro-SS pov of the crimes. These two books would then comprise a more complete biography.
