31 #20 made me sick, very brave my ask.

Name of the bridge and Norway gave me two strikes

32/35. I didn't know the name of the bridge and also i underestimated the duration of Norwegian resistance, i thought Poland with its 18 da... err a bit over an month was a bit longer. My last mistake was the Iwo Jima question as i forgot to count in the wounded on the US side, so i clicked some random thinking its some unknown battle.

Got as far as the death of Patton question realised the quiz was targeted at brayn dead morons... then fell asleep.

          Is not lost in darkness
          Over the fruitful earth
          And athwart the seas

35 of 35. But if they'd combined answers from a selfsame theater, not different - as they did, the task could've been harder.

31 of 35. I missed Norway, Kharkov, the bridge and one other.

The name John Frost comes from one British officer of this very day .
So if is not the bridge name's at the moment of Market Garden.

A case of too busy doing your corner to read about it.

I was fine on the Jap stuff, I watched all the 1950s Hollywood movies as a kid - mostly at the China Fleet Club, Hong Kong. Got tripped up on the bridge question.

33 out of 35. I got Norway wrong. I also failed with the bridge, but the reason is that the name is the current name, given after and exactly because of that operation. I had assumed they'd ask for the name used at the time.

The quiz was too easy, anyway, in that most of the three wrong alternatives were too blatantly wrong. When they propose a date that is before the beginning or after the end of the war... that's too easy to rule out. Or when they ask for the name of a US general and one of the wrong answers is a well-known German general...

Do you mean that for you, it was a bridge too far...?
