War memorial, Hull. The statue in the foreground is the Boer War memorial, the large column behind it is dedicated to the Great War (and possibly also the Second War). Around the base, facing inwards, are a number of plaques, many dedicated to the Second War and also Korea. It is a very fine memorial, so very present that people don't tend to realise it is there, it's right on a busy part of the town.
