                              According to Wiki, it is second on the list of the bloodiest battles in history, its 1.6 million casualties only exceeded by Barbarossa 25 years later.

                              • Early armored cars

                                My view is that the WWI and post war armored car contribution to the fielding of today's wheeled combat vehicles is overlooked.
