                        • Sorry Brod but the Blue Puttees were never part of the CEF. Newfoundland didn't join confederation until the 1940s.

                          Now that I think of it, PGT's selection of Bishop wouldn't be correct either as he was a member of RFC/RAF and not the CEF. (sorry PGT)

                              Now that I've thought about it, Bishop shipped out with the CEF. It wasn't until they were in France for some time before he transferred to the RFC so I retract my original statement.

                                During 2nd Ypres, Capt. Scrimger, with the 2nd Canadian Field Ambulance, may have passed the order to use urine to counteract the gas, but there is some doubt. Captain Scrimger received a Victoria Cross for other actions on 25 April
