            • I would vote for Colditz Castle where the most notorious escapers were sent, if they survived, during WWII. This castle was on a mountaintop. Somewhere I have the account in Great Escapes, but the paper sedimentation in my flat and the lack of a printer means I cannot get the pictures to everyone. I also cannot quote the previous message.

                Unfortunately, I don't think Colditz Castle was used as a POW camp/Stammlager during WWI.
                If you're having problems with the quoted message suddenly disappearing, try clicking on the "undo" arrow - directly above the "add image" icon. Seems to bring everything back on screen.

                      Kamp Zeist wasn't a POW camp - it was an internment camp for Other Ranks.
