    P-51

When I was a kid, I was really into model building, probably like most boys my age! The model that I made the most was the P-51 Mustang. I loved to attach the many different markings and insignias that came with the kits. My close second is the Chance-Vaught F4U Corsair. The gull wings just seemed to possess a mystique and potential deadliness.

There is NO contest here. I don't know how you can even ask the question!

It HAS to be the Spitfire, hands down. But I would add one caveat here - I'm talking about the earlier versions, before they added the Cannon and clipped the wingtips.

Tough choices. Let's see, ...eeny, ...meeny, ...miney, ...

My personal favorite is the Corsair, but I would have to say I agree with the Doc. The Spit is the best looking bird on the list. The Lightning has to be at the bottom of this list.

The Mustang is slick, the 190 just looks mean. The109 has a very nostalgic look, very classic, but not the best overall. The Zeke has a certain something. Very classy lines, no matter how you look at it.

The Spit just exudes class. A great example of form and function.

            Just a bit....

There aren't many Englishmen here, so someone has to fight our corner!

I had to vote for the FW190, because it just looked so deadly and cool. After that I'd have to say the Mustang and then the Spitfire.

                        Gotta go with the Spit.

Saw one fly a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still in awe.

Doc Sin is always right and he is in this case...up this point.

I voted for the Bf109. The look of power and sleek airframe beat all the rest.
