9mm automatic pistol with 13 round magazine. Very good pistol. 2nd best in the war to the Colt .45 automatic.

      Cheers!

Thanks Dannybou that website was very helpful. I didn't know it took a 13 round staggered magazine!

It was the first "high capacity" pistol.

Never really liked it....but then again the ones we had were made in the 60's so they were old and tired bits of kit now.

A lot of the ones on issue when I was in were also "heavily used" and perhaps worn down but I still found it a good pistol. Easy to use and maintain amd okay to shoot.

I actually came across one in the weapons lock up of my last unit in the early 1990's with Chinese characters, and a slot or a wood stock. It was originally made for the Nationalist Chinese Army in WWII, never issued and eventaully found it's way back into Cdn service.

Old yeah, but it quickly became my personal issue wpn (in addition to my C7). Never was able to ly my hands on a stock for it though.
