        • Here is the next weapon. I will accept ancient description or the modern version of this sword's name.

              • AKA Kopis, the standard weapon around the Mediterranean Basin (apart from an obscure bunch of Spaniards who used a short stabbing sword so impressive that the Romans nicked it.)

                  • Nick, your picture is correct. It is a falcata. But it is not Greek!

The Kopis & Khukri were both developed independently of the Falcata. And Ace you are correct that the Gladius was based more on this sword than any other.

But the Falcata is Iberian. This one from around 400BC. Some think that the Celts brought it to Iberia.

                    Your turn Nick!

                    • Torien - cheers for the info. The Spanish seem to have always made decent swords.

Obviously this is an axe, but by who in which year?

                      • I'm going to make an educated guess:

Minoan Double Axe circa 2000BC ?

(2nd guess is same age, Egyptian?)

It looked like Bronze Age Crete, I just guessed on the date. Was I close?
(The detail looked a little much, that is why I hedged with Egypt)

                            Anyway, next weapon:

                            • It looks a bit like a Roman cavalry/late infantry Spatha ( 1st-4th Centuries AD) but don't quote me on it.

Good try, but I didn't go that ancient on this one. (Or that Western)
