it's an A3, unless it has three-round burst capacity, in which case it's an A6. Actually, I think that they don't use the "A" modifer for the SD since it already has letters after the model number; it's MP5SD3 instead of MP5A3SD.

As for this new one, I have no idea.

It is not a Mauser of any make.

It's a Ross Rifle. It was a good sport rifle but not a good combat rifle. Originally the UK could not supply Canada with enough Lee Enfields. Later, it was only kept because Canada wanted to produce its own weapon, and the minister of munitions and defence liked it. It was wisely replaced by the Lee Enfield.

Here is a link about the scandal: http://www.mysteriesofcanada.com/Mil...le_scandal.htm

This book talks about it. Great book if you want to learn about the Canadian political and social aspects of the world war(s):http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/item.a...n=books&zxac=1

Could it be the Ross 1905 bolt action rifle??

Here is one. It shouldn't be too difficult. Bonus points if you can tell us what is special about this particular version.

Got One!! It's the 28mm s.PzB 41. This one is unique since it's the airborne version with the cut down carriage. Not a bad AT weapon with decent penetration for it's size but the 8mm taper in the barrel required ammo to have a tungston core, a material not in great supply in Germany.
If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.
