Good enough, what I was looking for was K98, the standard Rifle of the German Army in WWII, this particular example is a Russian capture with the SS rune and the swastika obliterated by electro pencil (probably by the Russians), it is code marked bnz on the receiver, the German code for Steyr Daimler Puch of Austria, even with the short sight radius it is one of the most accurate Rifles I own!

I know that the picture is not real good and it kind of looks like one, but the answer is no.

          • The Mosin Nagant M38 carbine. It looks very similar to the Carcano

Correct, this example is a Chinese Type 53, the same weapon used by the Chinese and North Koreans in the Korean War.

                          • SKS. Couldn't tell you the variant. Those use at least 2 different cartridges and lots of countries manufactured them.

Correct, this one is a Chinese Type 56 I brought back from Vietnam in 1969, it came from a cache found in the Mekong Delta.
As far as I know all SKS Rifles fired a 7.62X39 cartridge.
