Correct, but this is supposed to show knowlege in the area of firearms. But then again, everyone cheats!

          • Correct!
If one wants to be nitpicker though, it is Lahti VKT L-35. Valmet corporation was formed after war. VKT is abbreviation of Valtion Kivääri Tehdas (State rifle factory).

            • OK, let's have a go at this.

I have not trawled through the thread (too big)
So my appologies if this one has passed the revue before.

No, it is not but there is a vague relationship. It might get you on the right track.

Alas, no is the answer. There is a tentative French connection.
                      Hint: The calibre.

                      Try again.

You will have to dig deeper. It is not a French revolver.

You will have to think exotic, really exotic.

This revolver has a really quirky history.
Additionally it is now a very, very rare revolver.
Last time there was one on auction,
it has alledgedly fetched around £ 27,000.--
The ammunition round is based on the French Nagant 9.4mm.
and I reiterate it is not French.

                            • How about an Austrian Gasser Police Model revolver.....not exactly exotic, but it don't half look the same to me

Yes it bloody well does, does not it.
I am feeling exited about it, not by half.
If I am correct the Gasser Gendarmerie revolver is 1898.
I am still looking into this for 100% confirmation.

The gun I posted is 1891.
There could be not only patent right,
                                but also copy right infringements.

Unless Gasser got the patent rights for
this gun from the designer F.W.H. Kuhn.

Anyway I will hand your find as excellent and
                                give you the floor.
BTW the weapon I posted is the KNIL service revolver M 91
