  • Anglo-Greek War

Although this thread could be considered tongue in cheek it pays never to ignore history.

The British monarchy has a habit of fighting their own relatives.

At the turn of the 2nd millenium England was governed by the Vikings. Our foes were primarily the Vikings.

Come 1066 when the Normans took power our main foes became the French. The same is true with the Germans.

There was a hiccup in the late 18th century when we fought ourselves in the US, and also that man from Corsica (but then everyone was fighting him), but otherwise the theory does have some weight.

Now that we have the Greek Prince Phillip as consort how long until we are at war with Greece ?

So if William married Kate Middleton will there be a war against Surrey?

Tough nut to crack and the traffic can be hellish unless you start the invasion before rush hour.
        What would Occam say?

I wouldn't mess with Leeds, violent, vindictive, savage warrior culture and no concern for collatoral damage - the blokes are quite tough too.

Have you BEEN in Leeds on a Saturday night?

I thought they had tried to gentrify the place. I went up there a few times on business between 2005 and 2007 and the city centre had been rebuilt with the pubs charging London prices.
