          The NYPD was so riddled with corruption that the corrupt politicians in Albany decided to address the issue by forming a new police department, a Metropolitan Police Dept. Their first task was to arrest NYC Mayor Fernando Wood. That kicked off a series of running battles between the Met and the "Muni's" (NYPD) that made their way all up and down Manhattan.

                              I didn't believe it until I looked it up. Whatever possessed them to go with that name instead of Trent Park. The English really are different than the rest of us.
