    • Yeah, but that's from a Quebecoise catoonist. How seriously should we take that?

So, for No13, do you want another New Yorker, an American, or perhaps a Mexican? What do you think?

Ooh, ooh, here's a good one:

This guy was a real party. When he wasn't bending over backwards trying to attract Caucasians to migrate to the Domincan Republic, he was waging wars with Haiti, in one campaign massacring some 20 or 30,000 black Haitians. And when he was bored with that, he's cruise Santo Domingo looking for girls to rape. It was fitting then that he was assassinated.

      Good bye, banana dictator.

Alright, if I have to. Interstate 80 worked well for me.

Dead ends both ends, but some nice spots in the middle.

Trail Ridge Road spans the Park and connects Estes Park to the town of Grand Lake on the western slope. It's the highest continuously paved road in the United States, reaching an elevation of 12,183 feet.
                          Trail Ridge Road

It is open to vehicle traffic from Memorial Day weekend until the Park Service closes it in the fall. Temporary closings may occur in early June or late fall because of snow. It's usuallly October before the Park Service gives up fighting the snow and turns the road back to Mother Nature for the winter.

The many turnouts along Trail Ridge Road provide scenic overlooks and tremendous photographic opportunities, day or night. The night time view from Rainbow Curve is spectacular. City lights from Fort Collins to Denver are visible.

U.S. Route 491 (US 491) is a north–south U.S. Highway serving the Four Corners region of the United States. One of the newest designations in the U.S. Highway system, it was created in 2003 as a renumbering of U.S. Route 666. With the 666 designation, this road was nicknamed Devil's Highway because of the common Christian belief that 666 is the Number of the Beast. This satanic connotation, combined with a high fatality rate along the New Mexico portion, convinced some people the highway was cursed. The problem was compounded with chronic sign theft. These factors led to two efforts to renumber the highway, first by officials in Arizona, later in New Mexico. Since the renumbering, in conjunction with safety improvement projects, fatality rates have decreased.

The highway runs through Colorado, New Mexico and Utah, as well as the tribal nations of the Navajo Nation and Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. Features along the route include an extinct volcanic core named Shiprock, Mesa Verde National Park, and the self-proclaimed pinto-bean capital of the world.

It's just a real pretty drive along the Delaware River any time of year, especially on a motorcycle. There's a slight reddish tinge to the pavement, reminiscent of crshed red brick. Any time I've ever been there, regardless of season, I've not seen so much as a nick on the road surface, so much as a pothole. I don't know what they're paving with in Pennsylvania, but it's great stuff. By April, most roads around here look like the surface of the moon, what with all the precipitation and temperature swings and all, but PA-32 is always as smooth as glass.

By the way, that "40 MPH" speed limit is merely a suggestion: I've blazed away at 90 many times.
