Ka Tum, Vietnam, December, 1967: Pfc. Earl Hamilton, a grenadier with C Company, 2/14th, 25th Infantry Division, gets in the Christmas spirit with a Santa figurine affixed to the top of his helmet and an inscription noting the upcoming holiday truce. The 2/14th was on patrol at Ka Tum, an unpopulated area about 50 miles west of Saigon and close to the Cambodian border.

                      • Really nice pictures Miss. Saigon it reminds me of the things I have to do before Xmas...

the funny thing is that the soldier on the left in the last picture looks like one of my high school mate...
the real credit goes to the little ARVN soldier. He is just tremendous, just magnificent. He stood in there, took all that fire and gave it back. General James F. Hollingsworth USA.

                        • Wonderful compilation, M.S.! These little images really demonstrate what so many average soldiers longed for in Vietnam - a little touch of home.

                          Here's my humble contribution . . .

Merry? Who's merry? (We obviously haven't broken into the Christmas cheer yet!)
