    Never heard of them before - thanks for posting.

    Archaeologists said musket balls they discovered from both sides at the site indicated that there had been a previously unrecorded fight at the doors of the field hospital.
    Don't know if it is "unrecorded", the conventional account of the battle has always stated that some French cavalrymen made it as far Mont St-Jean before being driven back, I think.

    Archaeologists on the Waterloo site have discovered the area where amputated limbs were buried at the Allied field hospital. It is interesting to note that some of the teams carrying out the investigations contain British veterans who are themselves stomping the battlefield with prosthetics.
